Tough times do not last, tough people do!

At sea, a ship has to pass through a storm at times, in spite of all the actions by the crew to avoid it. This passage through torrential seas may last from a few days to few weeks. Though, the ship always endeavours to steer away from the storm as fast as possible to minimise the extent of damages. However, the storm manifests itself with various challenging conditions which range from heavy rains, poor visibility, huge waves, gusty winds, turbulent swell to bad sea state. These conditions further cause the ship to roll and pitch and toss in and out of the sea very precariously. This deadly combination of storm and heavy seas - rocks the ship severely, and can inflict serious damages to the ship’s crew and equipment, in spite of all the preparedness. But, does the ship stop and give up to the storm? No! Notwithstanding slower speeds, hazardous navigational conditions, machinery breakdowns, crew injury, even loss of life, the ship continues to make headway. It does so, by following all the safety and tactical procedures, whilst undertaking the damage control to limit the damage to only affected areas and reinforcing efforts in other locations. All hands onboard pull their weight together and come out of the stormy weather to achieve the assigned mission.

Today, as a nation, we are facing testing and unprecedented times, which are challenging our systems and patience.

This demanding situation caused by second wave, is very similar to a stormy night at sea. To tackle it, we all ought to follow the protocols, stay indoors, get ourselves vaccinated, help people and essentially, ‘keep the faith'. The most significant traits of humans are resolve and resilience. Surely, with that ‘will to fight’, we can do wonders together. There are many of our frontline warriors and countrymen/women who are working relentlessly 24 x 7 for more than one year against this menace. Together, we can pull it off and win over any challenge, stronger and safer!

Let us do good and pay it forward to our nation and fellow citizens by pitching in whichever way, we can, within our own sphere of influence and resources. Nation needs us and our positivity more than ever! Let our resolve make us more stronger and resilient! Let the future generations seek inspiration from us; how well we fought against this storm and all stood together as one and for each other! We all know very well that after the stormy night, the sun will shine again. Till then, Let's Stay Safe! Stay Strong! Jai Hind!
