Himanshu Joshi is a proactive and analytical global leader with entrepreneurial and innovative mindset and proven skills in the fields of operations, strategic planning, problem-solving, crisis & change management and cross-functional team management. His experience stems from 20 years of service in the mission-oriented and dynamic & volatile geopolitical environment at sea, across the globe.  He has had the honour to be in command of three warships and a squadron of sea-going assets. He has been providing leadership and subject matter advice in complex and volatile situations to deliver sustainable results during any contingency to various multi-national agencies and international organisations including the maritime forces of India, France and Mauritius. He is adept in using technology and innovation as enablers to manage processes, identifying uncertainty & risks, mitigating and solving them. He is a NLP trainer and a life coach who believes in leading by example and by empowering others. He is passionate about adventure sports, ultramarathon running, deep sea diving, birding, photography and traveling.  In order to drive long-term social impact, he volunteers and contributes to communities associated with causes like sustainable development, breast cancer awareness and autism. He also undertakes leadership development and mentoring. He has been regularly speaking to MBA students in prestigious business schools world over about leadership and entrepreneurship. He mentors the budding entrepreneurs at MIT Enterprise Forum, Cambridge, USA.
